Plum cake in banana and chocolate

What Cook brings them the recipe of a plum delicious cake, one of my favorites, made with bananas and chocolate. This delight comes in handy for a major snack, or a full breakfast.


for 8 people

120 g softened butter, and a little more for greasing

2 ripe bananas

85 g of blond extra-fine sugar

2 eggs

220 g of leavened flour

25 g cocoa powder unsweetened

1 teaspoon of baking powder

1-2 tablespoons of milk

100 g of dark chocolate drops

butter, to serve (optional)


Grease with butter a mold for plum cake of 900 g capacity and lining it with vellum. Peel bananas, put them into a bowl and crush with a fork.

Add the butter, sugar and eggs, and sift over the flour, cocoa and baking powder. Beat vigorously until the mixture acquires a soft consistency, adding the amount of milk needed so that it is not too liquid. Add the chocolate drops.

Move the mixture to the prepared mold and cook the plum cake in preheated oven to 180 ° C for 50 to 60 minutes, until you have uploaded and to insert a skewer into the Centre it comes out clean. Let stand about 5 minutes into the mold and then unmold double a metal grill and allow to cool completely.

Serve it sliced, with or without butter.
